Procedure and Fees

Procedure
The portrait procedure begins with a discussion between
the artist and the client during which the mood, size and background of the portrait is decided. Clothing, setting and where the portrait will hang will also be considered. During this time, Ford will take numerous photographs for reference and make notes and sketches of certain details.

After this, Ford will return to her studio and begin work on
a sketch that will be presented for the client's approval.
With that, the artist will begin to paint the portrait. Upon
completion of the portrait, it will be delivered to the client with insured satisfaction.

Fees

Small impressionistic paintings start at $3000.

Classical portraits start at $9000 for a head and shoulders.

Additional figures 50% more.
